A full weekend festival of folk song, music and dance.  Tenterden, situated in the ancient Weald of Kent, about 12 miles west of Ashford, is an ideal setting for this friendly, family folk festival.  It features one of the widest High Streets in the country lined with historic and listed buildings, numerous friendly pubs and restaurants and green verges.

EVENTS:

Concerts, folk clubs, English barn dance (Sponsored by the Co-operative Society), sing-a-rounds, sessions, storytelling, workshops, dance displays, procession, street theatre, craft fairs, street stalls, etc.

 

 

DANCE SIDES INVITED:

Dance sides from throughout Kent and Sussex, and from further a field, have been invited to take part.  We expect at least 25 sides on Saturday and/or Sunday including Aldbrickham Clog & Step Dancers, Crouch Vale Clog Morris, Ditchling Morris, East Kent Morris, Hannah's Cat, Hartley Morris, Kent Korkers, MacLennan Scottish Group, Marlins Morris, Meanads, Mythago, Offcumduns Morris, Oojah Kappivvy, Pork Scratchins, Royal Borough Ladies Morris, Scoil Rince Ui Chiardha School of Irish Dancing, Sussex Spinning Jenny, Tanglefoot Appalachian, Wantsum Morris, Wild Hunt, Wolfshead and Vixen, Woodchurch Morris and Yggdrasill 

 

We are also very pleased to present The Morena Slovak Dance Company.

 

 

CRAFT FAIR:

Craft fairs, musical instruments and street stalls on Saturday and Sunday.
