Tenterden Folk Festival
Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th October 2001
A full weekend festival of folk song, music and dance. Tenterden, situated in the ancient Weald of Kent, about 12 miles west of Ashford, is an ideal setting for this friendly, family folk festival. It features one of the widest High Streets in the country lined with historic and listed buildings, numerous friendly pubs and restaurants and green verges.

We are very sad to report the death of Rod Shearman who was booked to appear at the Festival. Our thoughts go out to all his family at this sad time. We will remember Rod through his songs that will continue to be sung at events through out the country for many years to come.
We are presenting a tribute to Rod lead by his friend Graeme Knight.
Dance sides from throughout Kent and Sussex, and from further afield, are being invited to take part in this year's festival. We expect 25 sides or more to take part in the popular dance displays and procession on Saturday. Some of the sides will also be dancing and singing on Sunday. Contact Dave Grabham, the Dance Co-ordinator, for further details.
See programme for details of the craft fairs and street stalls - this year on both Saturday AND Sunday
Special folk trains, discounts on travel, etc. See programme for details.
