Tenterden Folk Festival

Friday 1st, Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd October 1999

A full weekend festival of folk song, music and dance. Tenterden, situated in the ancient Weald of Kent, about 12 miles west of Ashford, is an ideal setting for this friendly, family folk festival. It features one of the widest High Streets in the country lined with historic and listed buildings, numerous friendly pubs and restaurants and green verges.

Dance sides invited;

Dance sides from throughout Kent and Sussex, and from further afield, are being invited to take part in this year's festival. Last year over 20 sides took part in dance displays and the procession on Saturday and we expect to exceed that number this year. We hope that at least some of the sides will stay on for Sunday. Contact Dave Grabham, the Dance Co-ordinator, for further details.

Kent and East Sussex Railway

Holders of our new "weekend tickets" will be entitled to a free trip on the historic steam trains on Saturday or Sunday. See programme for details.
